Positive attitudes
At a newly discovered breakfast cafe next to my new place, there are these positive quotes on the wall. They remind me to always keep a positive attitude in life toward anything. If today things don't happy as you wish, they probably happened in order to help you get something even greater in the future.

Things that money can't offer
Recently I found that despite of my normal day job, I particularly enjoy my volunteer role in coordinating events. Yes it is unpaid, but I found it more fulfilling than sitting in the office creating some revenue reports. I'm not saying reports are useless. Those reports are definitely significant in reflecting whether a company is making profits or not. However, my customers or my audience have pretty extreme reaction in response to the efforts I put in. Members who attend the events always left with a huge smile on their faces, no matter it was because they learned something or they made some new connections. So I guess it is always important what kind of influence your job have on people.

Hello Taipei101!
After going through all the trouble of background checks and other processes of making sure that I am perfectly "clean" to work at a bank in Taiwan, I finally started my day job two days ago! As you may imagine, I was super excited for my first day of work! As I arrived to the ShingYi district in Taipei, I felt like I finally made it to the center of Taipei City. In comparison, it's just like getting a job in NYC for Taiwanese people. And I can't stretch more about how convenient the MRT is! Though one might not have too much personal space on the subway in the morning, it definitely gets you to work on time. When I got to Taipei101, which will be my office location in the next couple months, I found that I was assigned to a window seat! How lucky I am, on Taipei101 with a window seat!
